Asus at Computex 2021

After being canceled in 2020, Computex is back and more exciting than ever, occurring this month through June 30, 2021. The highly anticipated computer expo based in Taipei is completely virtual this year, featuring all the leading names in tech, most importantly, Asus. Computex is the biggest computing conference of the year and never fails to bring out the best in the industry. This past year was hard for everyone, and companies had to lay low, but tech companies like Asus have used this past year in quarantine very effectively, taking the opportunity to work on exciting innovations and ideas.

An especially exciting spotlight from the conference this past week was the battle for the fastest processor. On the very first day of the Computex, Intel made the exciting announcement that they will be producing a new series of processors, codenamed Tiger Lake. Of this new series, the Core i5-1155G7 is now Intel’s most powerful i5 chip. Asus being the innovative company that it is, will of course be among the first laptop producers to release computers based on these new and super fast processors which are sure to be much anticipated.

Asus itself also announced a new line up of amazing products at Computex 2021, and to no one’s surprise, took home many tech awards. The conference hosts the “COMPUTEX d&i awards” where judges give sought after accolades based upon 5 principles: innovation, technical, functionality, social, and craftsmanship & aesthetics. Asus not only received eleven total d&i awards, but also the absolute highest level of distinction: the Gold Award. As Asus prides itself in being in a state of constant evolution, continuously innovating and designing the products of tomorrow, it is clear why this outstanding company was perceived so well at the conference.

As far as new products, Asus unveiled the ROG Strix G15 and G17 Advantage Edition laptops. They are the first in the world to feature AMD Radeon™ RX 6800M GPU and Ryzen™ 9 5900HX CPU. This series of laptops are the ultimate gaming tool, with ROG Intelligent Cooling, 300Hz refresh rate, and an incredible battery life. Other new announcements are the release of the ROG Strix GeForce RTX3080 Ti OC Edition graphics card which is expertly engineered to stay cool and quiet, while being incredibly powerful.

Finally, as if Asus was not already a leader in cooling systems, they announced a new lineup of high performance coolers, capable of keeping your computer cool even during the most intense gaming sessions. In this new lineup are the ROG Ryujin II, ROG Strix LC II, and TUF Gaming AIO liquid coolers. The ROG Ryujin II especially sticks out as exceptionally sleek with a huge, customizable LCD. It’s true that any of these cutting edge products will give you an in-game advantage while upholding that signature ROG style.
