ROG Phone 5 - Latest details on the Newest Gaming Phone
Ever since the conception of the ROG Phone series, Asus has continued to break the boundaries of what a gaming phone can do. Now, in just 8 days, the team at Asus ROG intends to outdo themselves yet again with the release of the ROG Phone 5.
Asus ROG’s goal is to engineer the most advanced gaming phone yet, with top of the line processing, efficiency, and looks. First, let’s take a look under the hood. In order to give you the absolute fastest gaming experience, the ROG Phone 5 features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This most recent processor boasts a 25% better performance than the previous generation. Also, this new generation of processors is better adapted to 5G, and will deliver improved battery life when using 5G.
Speaking of battery life, the ROG Phone 5 will most likely have a remarkable 6,000mAh battery capacity. Gaming phones require high amounts of energy and endure much strain on the battery, which is why such a high capacity, fast charging battery is necessary. A battery system like this should be able to charge almost fully in a little over 30 minutes.
The ROG Phone 5 will feature an aggressive but sleek gamer look with a slightly larger display than the ROG Phone 3. It is still early, but it seems as though it will have a secondary screen on the back of the phone that could give easy access to frequently used features or deliver quick updates. As with other models of ROG Phones, we expect to see integrated RGB lighting and accents incorporated into the design.
