Spring cleaning your Asus smartphone
When you browse the internet with a smartphone, it stores data called cookies that can help make certain sites more relevant to you and even helps them load faster. However, over time it is a good idea to clear this cache so websites cannot track you and to prevent large amounts of data from building up and ultimately slowing down your device. For most people, it is sufficient to clean their smartphone’s browsing cache once every two months or so. If you notice your phone slowing down or otherwise having issues, this very easy procedure is a good place to start.
Step one:
Open your browsing app (chrome, firefox, etc) and locate your browsing history. Here you will see the option to “Clear browsing data”.
Step two:
You can now select if you wish to clear data from the past weeks, months, or all time. Be careful if you wish to clear your browsing data from all time as it may delete remembered passwords to sites that are important to you.
The instructions above show how to clear your web browsing data and will be similar regardless of what browser you are using. You can also clear all cached data on the phone itself:
Step one:
Go to your phone settings and click storage.
Step two:
Locate “Internal shared storage” -> “Cached data”, then simply click Confirm.

Sometimes, individual apps may be using a lot of storage or loading slowly. It is possible to clear the cache of specific apps by going to the application manager in your settings then selecting the desired app. Now, click storage, “CLEAR CACHE”, and you're good to go!
