- Have a small Phillips screwdriver, a flat-tip screwdriver, and a knife
- Shut down the computer and make sure to face the back of your laptop
- You will then locate protective covers (hinge covers) on the hinges that will have to be removed.
- Slip the tip of the knife in the crack to gently pry the hinge covers until they come off
- Completely unscrew the small screws holding together the screen, the LCD panel, and the hinges
- Then gently remove the screen frame, then the LCD Screen
- All you have to do is to change the hinges, replace the different elements, tighten the screws, and put the protective covers back in place
Our team of Asus experts are here to give you recommendations and to assist you in the best way possible during the ordering process, and during your repairs; for any concerns or need of support, do not hesitate and get a hold of them directly, they will know how to guide you and bring you the advice that you need.
Advice: The computer hinges are known to be delicate; they are the articulation allowing the opening and the closing because they are the main pivot point between the keyboard and the screen. It is therefore very important not to open and close your screen excessively, and also do not hold it only by the screen, this will create wear or even damage these hinges.
