The exciting new update!
Windows 11 was released in October 2021 with a major update called version 22H2 coming later this year. This new update is already launched on new Asus PCs, and is available to be downloaded on most Asus PCs now! Keep reading to learn all the details about this exciting new version of Windows.
What is Windows 11?
Windows 11 is the most recent update to Microsoft’s operating system. Its predecessor, Windows 10 was released in 2015. A major theme of this new update is a focus on allowing users to be productive more easily, something that became even more of a priority during the COVID-19 pandemic. The redesigned, centered taskbar makes locating apps more accessible, additionally, you can now download apps from the Android store to help create a seamless experience between your smartphone and PC. Another key feature is that Teams, which is Microsoft’s video communication platform, will be integrated in making it easier to chat with your coworkers and organize meetings more quickly with the new update. Other new details include general design/aesthetic improvements and enhanced system security.
What will be new in the 22H2 update?
The new update to Windows 11 which is anticipated to be ready around July 2022, will feature an even more modernized interface with simplified settings controls for an overall smoother experience. This update will also expand on user touch experience that detects when you are using a tablet and hides the taskbar so you can use the entirety of the screen for your current app(s). There is still speculation about exactly what features will be present in the latest update, but many tech experts expect further enhancements on tablet experience as well as more opportunities for customization of the homescreen.

Of course, Asus guarantees a free upgrade with any compatible device. With advancements in the tablet experience, now you can be even more productive on Asus tablets and 2-in-1 laptops like the VivoBook Flip or ZenBook Flip (Q324 or UX360) with this new update.
To update your device, check for system updates and you should see a notification for the Windows 11 update. From here, you can follow the on-screen prompts for installation, it may take up to half an hour, but don’t worry, it is okay to use your device while the update is downloading. Although all your data will be transferred when you update your system, it's always a good idea to backup your files before you do any installations.
